The accommodation is 8 km from Bantry and 6.5km from Glengarif village, guests benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi This holiday home was refurbished in June 2022 has 4 bedrooms, a kitchen with a dishwasher and a fridge, a flat-screen TV, a seating area and 3 bathrooms fitted with a bath or shower. Towels and bed linen are available. There is a manager available to greet you on your arrival Killarney is 38 km from the holiday home, while Kenmare is 19 km from the property. Refurbishment features orthopaedic mattresses, wool carpets and wood floors, re-painted with additional improvements to kitchen and two electric power shower’s in two of the three bathrooms to make it more comfortable for our guests. Garnish Island is just off the coast of West Cork and offers beautiful garden walks with unique plants that flourish in Ireland's climate. Bantry House and Gardens is a popular spot for a day out. This great house boasts some of the finest Irish antique furniture and collections of fine paintings in the south west of Ireland. Lough Hyne Visitor Centre in Skibbereen is Ireland's first Marine Nature Reserve and just a 40 minute drive from the cottages. With just an hours drive away, Atlantic Sea Kayaking in Abbeystowry, has so many different options for kayaking, with a wide range of routes in West Cork, Cork City or a dusk kayaking session to view the sun setting.
Bantry House is a historic house with gardens in Bantry, County Cork, Ireland. The Beara Peninsula Experience
Enjoy the gorgeous Beara Peninsula by stopping off at Castletownbere for quirky shops and great cafés. Driving westward Dzogchen Temple is a Buddhist Meditation Centre that has a great cafe and is welcoming to visitors
Dursey Island is at the end of the peninsula boasting eland’s only cable car. Cows can be seen taking the cable car as this as the land’s only access! These are stunning walks surrounding the area.

The walk around the Ardnagashel Estate is magical and good for evening strolls or early in the morning walk the shoreline and afterwards take a dip in Ballylickey Bay.

Located on the 1584 St Finbar’s Oratory Gougane Barra is a magical place worth a visit Be sure to pack a picnic and after the lakeside take one of the walking trails and enjoy Gougane Bana Forest Park
On the way back to Bantry stop at the filling station opposite gs for Kral Stone Circle After a short steep walk see one of the forest examples in Ireland. Also, near Kealkill visit a key piece in Ireland’s history with a walk through Carriganass Castle.
Afterwards enjoy Bantry House and Garden, stroll the romantic garden where colour and smell will enchant your senses overlooking Bantry Bay.
The spectacular Bantry House is the ideal start for a day out in Bantry Bay. Since 1739 Bantry House has been home to the White family The vast art collection both inside and outdoors has been delighting the public since 1946. After touring the house enjoy the expansive terraces that were designed to fully appreciate the bay. The gardens are full of ornamental stone work from the White’s travels in Europe mid-nineteenth century.
Attend 100 steps to the Old Ladies Walk or follow the path by the stream that leads to the walled garden Allow at least four hours to enjoy touring the house and gardens. This fantasy house is an old world marvel at the start of the Beara Peninsula.

Mizen Head
Pack a windbreaker and lots of camera space and set out early for Ireland’s most southerly point Mizen Head. Be prepared for a slower drive as the roads are winding and busier in summer months. Prepare to take your time and enjoy the breathtaking sights around the signal station. After being on the edge of Ireland head for the café and enjoy one of the traditional cakes or lunchtime menu items.
Later reward yourself with a visit to Barley Cove beach, it is another magical spot where you can see the rolling hills and parked yachts as you take a stroll or a dip. Nearby charming Goleen village is the place to go for fish and chips after working up an appetite at the beach.
